Videographer & Photographer

Job Description

 Will shoot footage, edit and be held responsible for setting up and breaking down equipment and manage all technical tasks to execute proper footage to use for marketing.

 Overall Skills

Must have an eye for photography and videography. Organizational skills and strong attention to detail; must be able to prioritize workload with minimal delegation; must be an effective listener and enjoys surprises; must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; and problem solve with clear communication.

 Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Determines what video and camera equipment is necessary and obtains equipment

  • Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production

  • Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment

  • Collects footage of campus as well as interviews

  • Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects, creating graphics, and presenting to client (UCAM) and other constituents

  • Helps to sustain and guide creative process

  • Assists in maintaining a blog to document the team's progression

  • Assists in developing interview questions and storyboards

  • Follow editing comments and modify footage as necessary

 Videographer and Photographer Experience

  • Project-based and part-time internship opportunity

  • $15 per hour for internship

  • Base pay starts at $300 per project

  • Work will be done at home, events and private homes

  • Some meals included!

  • Raises depending on performance with team member review every 3 projects!


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have own computer and Wi-Fi

  • Must have own cell phone

  • Must have own vehicle and clean driving license

  • Must be 21 years of age and valid driver’s license

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible (days, nights, weekends) hours as required

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with employees and customers, understand reports and related correspondence and accurately perform related job functions

  • Ability to effectively deal with employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the external and internal customer and providing positive and proactive solutions

  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met

  • Strong listening skills

  • Strong attention to detail with an artistic talent

  • Ability to move products, hang merchandise and fulfill other physical requirements including: repetitive lifting, bending and pulling/pushing for up to 30 lbs.

  • Sit and stand for long periods of time while attentive to move

  • Ability to input and retrieve information using a moderately complex computer system, with a strong working knowledge in camera equipment and editing software

  • Ability to use and obtain various camera equipment


  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • High school diploma required.

  • Grooming; all team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance including having hair, skin and clothes to be clean and neat. Have no strong body odor or wear strong body fragrance.
